Note that the bag is empty. I simply couldn't pause long enough to take a photo. This stuff takes popcorn to a whole new level. The smell is intoxicating. (I'm sniffing the empty bag right now.) It's salty and savory and earthy and has an incredible depth of flavor. One bite and you'll want to eat the whole bag.
I'm intrigued by the ingredient list alone:
popcorn(duh), soy oil, truffle aroma(I don't understand how, but it really works), truffle powder, Sicilian truffle salt (I want to buy this from the website), black perigord truffle, summer truffle, and yeast (interesting).
If you want to join me in this utopian snack food, you can buy Charlie's Truffled Popcorn from the Susan RIce Truffle Products website, Whole Foods, A Southern Season (Chapel Hill, NC), or Tunies Super Save Nutrition Center (Coral Springs, FL). Treat yourself today and get your fungi fix!
[Fab Finds are a new feature I'm adding to my blog. Anytime I find something I just have to share (a product, a restaurant, a band, a place, a service, etc.) you'll find it here. They have their own category, so once there's more of them, you'll be able to find the whole collection easily.]
Interesting? I think? Truffle cologne?
